The main news at the moment is that Art will be making his own Solo Album very soon. As of now it is scheduled to be released around Fall/Spring (Northeren hemisphere/Southern Hemisphere) '99, and will include such songs as Annabella's Song, Otis Redding, and others. He plans to do some limited touring in the States following the albums release. He has contributed a solo song to the soundtrack to a Ben Stiller movie called 'Permanent Midnight' which is available now. The song is called Overwhelming. Art will be starting up his own record label very very soon. It will be called 'Popularity Records'. He already has a few bands that he wishes to sign. "It'll cause some tension," Alexakis acknowledges, though he's quick to add that Everclear will remain on Capitol. "I love the business," the singer says of his decision to branch out. "I think it's fun. I like all those other aspects that come with making the records . . . And I think it would be fun to work with other bands." | |||||||||||||||||||||||
